Present lines are in between
The life a man that leads and sees,
His way down the darkened road,
So I've been told, it's not for show.
Dogs that howl, deep in the night,
are just as scared, at running to the light.
Still they wander, out in the cold,
Before it's too late, to to smell and feel what one reveals..
Darkness ensues the frightened beast,
He is young, his mind is weak.
Cannot fight, and so he runs,
Unafraid of what may become of him.
Running faster into the night,
He stumbles upon a house so bright.
He walks into the room so black,
Where light has gone, his memory brought back.
Taking time to walk again,
He sniffs around for some clue again,
Closing his eyes, he takes in the air,
And upon what, does he find in there?
He finds a blanket of his master, who is now old and gone,
And he wraps himself in the blanket, until the morning dawn has come.
This dog once sad, is made anew,
With purpose, strength, and eyes just for You...
