Was there a reason we quit doing these or did it kind of just fizzle out ?

I don't know what the other thread was about, but I guessing you throw someones name out there that is either out or dead (and out). Right??

Popeye...always saying "well blow me down" "I yam What I yam" hangs out with a guy named Wimpy. Dates Olive Oil (? Suspect Transgender)

I think it had just had its day. There is a limit to the number of 'famous' gays.

For newer readers it was a competition whereby a pic of a famous gay was posted and people guessed who it was.

I missed most of the earlier series, but I recently came across - so to speak - several essays regarding the homosexuality of the late Yasser Arafat. Defintely dead (of AIDS, by all accounts), definitely not out, and yet another example of a man who could have been a far better fighter for his people's rights if he had stood up and said "I am what I am."

So say what you want
(You know I'm wasting all my time)
You've gotta mean it when you say what you want
(You're only safe when you're alone)
And everybody's on your mind
Saying anything to get you by

Good point Benji. We all know the penalty for homosexuality in Moslem countries. It starts with a heavy beating and ends with a neck stretching. Sad

On the other hand, I seem to recall that one of the hijackers of 9/11 was in a relationship with another hijacker. Bin Laden allowed these "martyrs" to proceed (attonement?).

Several of his former aides and associates (including a very high profile defecor from the Soviet Bloc) are on record as saying that his favorite pastime was balling his bodyguards. The French have never denied he died of AIDS.

How Fascinating, if true! I wonder how this was kept hush-hush with all his known enemies! His own people would have had him stoned to death. Sorry to sound like a doubting Thomas, but just a hint could have ruined him.
