I voted in the current poll right when I heard it had been changed, I was like the seventh person or so to do so by the way, and now I checked the results. 155 people have voted now, and the spread is a bit more statistically comprehensive...

It seems there's some eleven heterosexual men enjoying themselves at Tim's site for example. That I find, not peculiar, but curious and interesting! I wonder what draws them here, probably the stories. And that makes it more interesting still for obvious reasons! Wink

There's not much other stuff I can do at the moment other than ponder such matters, there's a big thunderstorm right on top of me at the moment and it has wiped out all the TV channels in my apartement complex. Not sure if the transmitter in the huge big-ass antenna located a few kilometers away took one on the chin, or if it's the reciever stuff here that got fried (this seems more likely to me). Probably means I'll miss Mary-Kate and Ashly Olsen appearing on the Tonight Show...

By the way, I learn more of US news and culture from listening to Jay Leno's stand-up routine than I do from watching CNN. That's pretty scary, don't you think? Smile

Wonder if the power's going to go out for a second again now that I've almost finished this post...heh.

Even taking into account illiteracy, and the "I will bollocks up your poll" voters, it seems to me to be unusual that a heterosexual man would enjoy such a site. There is information there, of course, what is relevant tpo a male/female partnership about to venture into anal sex, but people wanting that"use a different entrance" pun intended.

I think the sample has begun to have reasonable statistical significance. I am simply pleased that people are sufficiently open minded to leanr, and to enjoy something different.

I have been known to get aroused with a str8 or a lesbian story, and I see no reason why a str8 guy should not get aroused by a gay one.

(Lovely expression! LOL!)

...But for some reason I don't think that's the case here. I don't know, it feels "wrong" somehow. I don't see voting for male/str8 to bollocks up much of anything really.

It may be as you say, some men simply get aroused by gay stories even though they're str8. Or, that they got some gay tendencies, but not enough to label themselves bi. ...Or maybe they're even in denial. Wink Heh heh.

By the way, my ISP got knocked out by the lightning storm. Was gone all night and didn't come back up until 20 mins past eight this morning... TV channels came back, then went again for a while and came back again. I got to see the Tonight Show, and the Olsen twins have grown a bit since the Full House days... GEEZ. Sixteen...

They're pretty alright, but I don't feel any attraction to them. They're too much of a product in a way, and they're too...uh...blonde. Yeah. That's it. Blonde. Smile

It is funny how girls can be too blonde but boys just can't be.

...And strangely enough, so do I in fact. Even though I do not have a favorite hair color at all. I enjoy the variety that's out there.

But what you say does have a definite amount of truth to it...!

White blond is a colour I find has skin tones that don't seem to go with it.

But I am a sucker for platinum blond.

As I get more ancient, I find I like cute faces rather than hair colour, though. And the occasional brunette!

We now have 13 heterosexual men and 11 heterosexual ladies. I must admit to gentle bewilderment!

One of the things I have always liked about Tim's website is his message of welcome, which specifically includes those who are "confused" about their personal orientation.

So why not have a button for "I am male and am confused"?

I didn't vote. None of the labels fit.

welcome if you're new. If not, sorry - I have a shitty memory, but hey, at least I readily admit it. Confused? I think most of use can relate - heck I was confused the first 20 years of adulthood, so confused I didn't even KNOW I was confused! I think I'm straightened out now, though. Well, bad choice of words, maybe, but at a point of equilibrium, compromise, and honesty with myself.

I tell younger folks to avoid labelling themselves since it usually isn't particularly productive if they aren't 100% sure. Instead, keep options open and be self-aware. Sorry if you've already heard that little sermon - wish I had.

Hi Trevor. Thanks for the words of welcome. I have posted a couple of times before, but generally I like to read what others have to say.

You make a good point.

Understanding one's sexual identity is a component of self-awareness and striving to be more self-aware is a worthy goal. I probably should devote more time to cultivating self-awareness, but it is not something I find easy.

When I was a teenager I never understood the process by which my peer group mysteriously acquired this thing called a sexual identity. I expected the confusion to lift as I grew up. It seems to happen for most people, but it didn't happen to me. I am in my forties now.

I think that's why I like reading Tim's stories. Many of them revolve around the theme of young first love. Through reading them I travel back in time and experience the sexual awakening I never had myself.

I have always felt like I missed out on quite a bit as a teen because I was so confused. I too, think that is one reason I love to read these stories. And one of the reasons I've begun to write them.

Think good thoughts,
