He remembered it. What it was like, the first time he felt icy cold cheeks rub against his own.
Winter was a season of cold. Naturally, I suppose that's why they call it 'Winter.'
The boy slightly shivered, feeling a chill run down his backside.
He then looked around the empty room, feeling the cold, blank walls.
He was alone.
It was nothing new. It was better that he be alone.
His name, was Collin.
'I'm not like other boys...' Collin said to an empty room, his breath slow. He could feel his heart pound into his chest, beat after broken beat. It was normal for Collin. He had gotten used to the constant thumping of his heart, like someone was beating on him, laughing at him as he lay helpless, unable to stop them. 'They' were bigger then him. Stronger, and their punches hurt, a lot. But Collin didn't mind. He was used to it. There was nothing he could do to stop them, so he gradually, just gave up over time.
Collin heard a loud door smash open, as someone from 'out there' pounded on the door, just to be an annoyance. 'COLLIN!?'
Collin sighed and rubbed his broken cheeks with his hands. His cheeks and arms were bruised with bloody scars that had healed on each cheek. 'They' did this to him. But he was too young to try to stop them.
There was a loud bang on the door a second time. 'COLLIN! You little shit! Get out here, NOW!'
Collin wiped the tears from his eyes that had formed a while ago. He opened the door, only to be greeted by a fist he saw, only seconds before it hit him in the face.
'COLLIN! Heh.. I thought I told you to do your CHORES!'
Collin flew back a few steps at the result of the punch. His breathing was heavy, sweat dripping off his face. This was his world. A world of abuse, darkness, and lies..
Collin stared up at the man who punched him. A tear fell down his face, as he touched the bruise that formed there. His cheek felt like rubber, as blood entered his mouth from the force of the wound. Collin let the blood run from his face down to the wooden floor of his room.
The man who punched him, and watched him bleed, licked his lips, as if finding pleasure in knowing that Collin was beat-up. Though, his was not the worse Collin had endured. Not at all.. Collin, was used here. Used, for whatever the man who punched him, wanted.
The man looked at Collin, and stretched out his hand to him. 'Come here.'
Knowing what was to come, didn't stop Collin from obeying the man. Collin walked over and stood there, like a lifeless doll. The man placed his tongue on the boys face right where the blood was and licked at it. Collin winced at what the man was doing, but that only made the man hungrier for him, pressing their lips together, bruising Collin's lips even more.
Collin only prayed for the day to end...

*Love you, lil bro* gently whispered in your ear.
There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition, and of unspeakable love. Washington Irving
