Collin only prayed for the day to end...

The man brought Collin's lips to his, as if a harsh dagger cut open his lips. The older man crushed the innocent lips of the other boy. Collin, however, was subjected tp this kind of 'love,' this torture, everyday.

It was a punch, kick, or a hit in the back of the face afterwards each day, that he would be subjected to this humiliation. Collin had gotten used to it by now. And in a way, sadly, he thought this was what it was like to be loved. It was all he knew of such a word. It was what 'they' told him. Was it brainwashing, just to use him for their sick little games of pleasure? Collin didn't know. He was too young to know. So each day, whomever he was with at the time, would take advantage of Collin's weaknesses and try to satisfy their lust any way possible by using the boy.

Being subjected to such unmentionable torture, Collin's mind was much more distorted then an average boy's. He would talk to his many 'guests' that happen to visit him frequently during the nights. Many nights when by where Collin would talk to his 'friends.' 'They' were simple figures to him. They came in the form of shadows, each a different shadow every night. Collin, being at a young age, was happy to see anyone willing to talk to him. It made him happy that his 'friends' were there for him, at least he thought so. His mind was too distorted to know that his 'friends' were only filling his head with even more lies, gripping him furthur away from the reality of the world.

After the torture of the kiss the man placed on Collin's lips, he went back to his corner in his room. He always stayed there. Rarely did Collin receive any food or drink. He was not allowed to browse the fridge or shelves of food. He thought it was only a matter of time before his body gave out. Maybe, once it did, it would be better for everyone. Collin couldn't tell right from wrong with the state he was in, so he just hummed to himself in his corner. It was a song he was humming, that he'd heard before from someone, a woman. Collin didn't know the woman, but the song he hummed made him forget the pain and loneliness of the reality.

The song also kept his friends at bay. His friends didn't like what he hummed, but all he knew was that his friends wouldn't come out when he hummed.

Before Collin was forced to move into where he was currently moving, his father took him to the doctor. Collin became one of the regular faces you'd see everyday at the local clinic. He wouldn't smile, or talk. He'd only wait until it was all over so he could sleep and forget the daily abuse of the day.

Collin woke up from his nap and started to cry. He grabbed his pillow and let the tears flow from his eyes.

'They love me... Yes. This is what it's like to be in love...'

Collin hugged his pillow as he cried, hoping this would all end soon...

Good Josh. Very moving. Yep, I get it.

Love, ~aqua-chan~

There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition, and of unspeakable love. Washington Irving
