Today i had a meeting at work and it went great. Had some breakfast and was looking forward to go home and relax.
Before i got on the hwy, i decided to stop for gas so i wouldn't have to do it in the morning. Where i parked, i had front view of the intersection at the hwy entrance. I finished putting gas in my car, walked over to get inside when right infront of me a semi slammed hard into the passanger side of a small 4x4 truck. I just heard a loud noise and i couldn't believe what just happened infront of me. The truck was literally bend in half, all windows broken, and lose metal everywhere.
As i drove past the scene of the accident, i looked inside the car and there was a famale passanger inside. She was not moving, she was trapped inside. the driver was unhurt, he was next to her, worried because it seemed bad. it made me feel so strange.
i kept wondering how in an ordinary day, a life can change forever. I felt bad because i know i have done some careless things while driving. It made me appreciate my life just a little more. Happy to be alive and thankful for all i got.
Just thought i would share this.

Things like this make us feel useless. Even if we are unable to help because of lack of skill, we must take one important action, and we must take it because everyone else assumes that someone else has done it.
We must call the emergency services at once.
It doesn't matter if 10 other people also do it, we must do it and take personal responsibility for doing it. They don't care if they get 10 reports, but they care if they get no reports.
I am in no way criticising you here.

Dont worry bout it..... it's called compassion and it's a good thing......
Albeit somewhat painful at times.....
Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

I know what your saying M. Life can be snuffed out in an instant. they are the ones who have an easy death, Its done and over quickly. Its good that we feel compassion for the surviving family and friends.
If you stand for Freedom, but you wont stand for war, then you dont stand for anything worth fighting for.

Lets also give thanks that we live in a part of the world where we don't live with or observe tragic occurences on a daily basis. We are profoundly effected by something like this because we haven't had to harden our hearts just to get by. This is the sort of thing that can remind us of how truly fortunate we are to live the lives we live.

I know. I saw several people on their cellphones and with in a few minutes, emergency vehicles could be heard on the distance.
