We have always felt that the living should benefit from money, not the florist. So, instead of lowers, we are asking anyone who wishes, to make as small or as large a contribution as they wish, to the UK charity The National Association for Crohns Colitis, the ailment that lander my mother in hospital way back in May.
There is absolutely NO obligation.
Donations may be made at http://www.justgiving.com/connie_trent
And, if you are unable to donate, or do not wish to, a simple act of kindness to someone who does not expect it is a perfect alternative.

Timmy, your mother was a lovely lady, even in old age.
For those of us on the Colonial side of the Atlantic, who are still too young to have credit cards to use for donations, we can send something to:
The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America
Seventeenth Floor
386 Park Avenue South
New York, New York 10016
The web site for this is http://www.ccfa.org/
Dudes, we should do this for Timmy, ok?

Hugs you. Please only do it for yourselves, not for me. It's part of the ethos of the site that those who can or wish to do something financial do that, and others simply perform an unexpected act of kindness for someone else.
And yes, with no credit card a donation to the US charioty is an excellent idea since it costs a fortune to convert foreign currency cheques into sterling
