The "Alaskan pipeline" i am thinking of has nothing to do with anything what is described in the "urban legends website"
It was first done as far as I can personally attest to in 1974.......

Who is to say what is smutty? You, jack? It's a bit ripe, considering the trollish smut you have brought to the board in the past.
And since when was homosexuality an honour? Isn't an honour something that is conferred to a virtuous person by society, but which can also be taken away? Sexuality is innate and doesn't even begin to fit those criteria. If people of a particular sexuality wish to do something of which you disapprove, behind closed doors, it doesn't make any difference to anyone, unless you have a frankly unhealthy preoccupation with their relationship.

I think you might be in danger of placing sex on a pedestal.
It can be a transcendent and transforming experience. It can also be hysterically funny, it can be sweaty and animal, it can be generous or mean-spirited, it can be mechanical or emotional, deeply embarassing, etc. etc. etc. But it isn't an academic discipline, and it's possible to take it too seriously.
Personally, I see nothing wrong with a little smut - though for me more in the act than in the talking about. Lord save us from perfect guys who fret that sex will mess up their hairdo's!
As for being gay being an "honour" - it's just a label, which we each to some extent may consider applies to us, and to some extent may have applied to us by others.
