It's hard to sit through holidays alone..... when all the people you love is gone.....
It makes for strange thoughts.
Makes them look more attractive than at other times.
Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

Yip know how that feels, or at least I will. This year will be the first time that I will be spending my festive season alone, completely alone. While everyone is on holiday enjoying the sun, surf and sand. Its quite sickening really.
Thia could become quite an intresting thread. Who has spent a christmas, new year or both alone?
It would be intresting to see how everyone deals with the feelings.

Im sorry I couldnt spend the holiday with you, but I am always with you in spirit. Wish I could give you a big hug. I do love you you know.

Marc, if it's any consolation, we don't even have Thanksgiving -- so I'm feeling doubly left out!
I spent a New Year alone once. My family were away skiing. I can't remember why I didn't go -- I think it was work-related in some way. It happens to all of us sooner or later.
Hugs and very best wishes.
