Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

I keep thinking of the neighbors, and how much it sucks for them.
On two levels:
1. How can they compete?! I mean how bad must there house look compared to that...
2. How can you sleep when that is going on in front of your windows?!

... a compulsive seeker after knowledge, and all that crap!
A bit of research reveals that the video is absolutely genuine, the light show being synchronised with the music using much the same technique as is used in clubs the world over, but at a rather higher skill level.
The house is in Mason, Ohio, just outside Cincinnati (have I spelt that right?) and the video was made three or four years ago. The house owner is involved in the production of professional light shows and firework displays.
The music was not played through loudspeakers; it was broadcast on an FM radio channel. A rectangular block to the lower right of the picture is permanently illuminated; this shows details of the channel, so watchers could dial it up on car or personal radios.
Apparently, the neighbours were quite happy to be near the centre of attention, but - as E.J. has already said - the local authority intervened (Bah! Humbug!) because of concerns about traffic congestion. However, it did sponsor a light show in a local park the following year, though there was a $15 admission charge, which was less than well-received!
In any event, the house show was a hell of an achievement!

For a' that an' a' that,
It's comin' yet for a' that,
That man tae man, the worrld o'er
Shall brithers be, for a' that.
