Dec. 7th, 1941

A date which will live in infamy.
No mater how long it may take us to overcome
this premeditated invasion,
The American people,
In their rightous might,
will win through to absolute victory.

Franklin D. Roosevelt

IN rememberance of those men and women who died at Pearl Harbor, may they rest in peace, knowing that the torch was taken up and carried to victory.

I wonder, 50 years from now will the Iragui people make the same post regarding the US?

Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

Damn, I should have known better than to post this. This was not intended as a "whoes right or whoes wrong". It was just to remember a terrible day in our history.

Curtis, don't let the previous post discourage you from expesssing your thoughts on such a monumental event in American history.

Your post was a very noble and thoughtful reminder of the sacrifices our grandparents generation went through. It has nothing to do with the current mess we are in now in Iraq what so ever.

Keep on posting, Curtis.

There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition, and of unspeakable love. Washington Irving

I made no derogatory remarks directed toward your post.....

I made an observation which parallels yours.....

Don't panic..... I'm not attacking you.....

Thank you for posting this, Curtis. You always take a chance of a thread being taken where you don't mean it too. I don't think Marc was being flippant - he just had a diverging thought. I am glad you remembered an important day in our history.

Curtis and others

I have some contemporary pictures of Pearl Harbour in a slide presentation. I can't post them here because of size and format, but if you would like to see them, PM me.

Hugs
Nigel
