Just to clairify a point.....
There is nothing within the rules of conduct for this site that requires that each thread of conversation remail rigidly applicable to the parent post.
It is after all the nature of conversation to meander where thought brings it......
Now if i'm wrong..... Let me know.....
And IF I am..... then I want to know where the room full of people is that follows the conversation of the first person to utter a sentence.....
Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

There never was and I doubt there ever will be. This is not Wikipedia!
There is common sense, of course. If the thread is about a death it probably is impolite to divert it to talk about visiting the carnival, though t may seem to lead there. Far better to say "I want to talk about the carnival part in a new thread." And then to start that new thread.
Anything in particular prompt this thread?

Ah. Now I see.
I guess the answer is that it was borderline. I thought of replying to the post but chose not to.
The trick when this happens is that the original poster should exercise the restraint he wishes the person who posted had when he posted.
Ah, politics and religion!
