At first I waa going to post exactly what Curtis had to say to me, but now that I think about it Im just going to post my thoughts. Curtis says he has learned something. That its ok to lie about loving someone if its convieneint for you or gets you what you want. That when its not adventagious to just dump and ignore the one you supposidely said you loved.

This is certainly the wrong lesson to be teaching someone who is as caring and loving as Curtis is. Not just him, but anyone on the board or the internet or in person. Its easy to tell someone you love them on the internet but to say it and not mean it is cruel. People say things in the heat of the moment on the internet, but when real life sets in they forget the one on the other end of the keyboard because they dont have to face them or deal with the hurt.

I guess what Im saying is that to use the words caring or love or friend, mean it. if real life steps in, write a 2 minute email and let them know your alive and that your at least thinking about them.

I know I will probably catch flack over this, but hey you cant please everyone. I know this. There are those who think themselves moraly or intillectually more mature and forget that there are those who take things to heart and can be hurt by their actions or inaction. Not everyone is a cold turkey with out feelings.

I have to agree with you.

I never say the words without putting with them all that the words imply.....

I think I know what you mean about people that think themselves above the average cut. It indeed does hurt when a friendship is tossed aside like yesterdays newspaper.....

And I know I haven't called in a while, but I soon plan to remedy that....

Now, that being said.....

I love you Roger..... I miss you so so so much.....

Expect a call..... Just tell me when it's convienent.....

Huggs tight,
Marc

Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

Dear friend,
My sincere apologies for not emailing you or giving you a call or two for a long time. I'm sorry for not being the friend you deserve, but be assured that you are constantly in my thoughts.
I'll try to give you a call later today, and in any case I'll send you an email.

Ive had a few friends who just abandoned me w/o saying anything at all...It's sad when people u knw become people u knew...When u cant walk right past some1 as if they were never a big part of ur life...how u used to be able to talk for hours, and now u can barely even look at them...
It happens to every1 of us i guess...

I wish I had answers for things like that, but I dont. A true friend doesnt put requirements on the friendship. If you place requirments on your friendship then it become a convienience. Curtis is ok, he just cant understand why the people he loves just stoped talking to him.

No flack. I have no idea what is going on, but I do know that online relationships are often odd compared with real life.

I hate it when let-downs happen. I'm glad Curtis has written to you, and that he has you to talk to.

We meet odd people as we pass through life. Some of those affect us well, others badly. I guess the real message is "Never, ever, lose your trusting nature, Curtis. It will be returned properly one day"
