I have been listening to the Scott Ross recording of Scarlatti's sonatas - all 555 of them on 34 CDs! Scott Ross was a marvellous man who died of Aids (I think in 1985) and his performances of Scarlatti are unbeaten in my opinion (and I have many other versions but none of them complete.
