You're unhappy, lonely or both, make or sail toy yachts, wear odd coloured trousers (one leg is v diff from the other}, have one arm and make toy lanterns?
You are also "towel boy" in th elocal cave?

Dear Steve,
No, I can't see any hidden messages. I can't see *any* messages actually. But if it's to be hidden well enough so that nobody can see it, what's the point of having it there at all?
Do you like taking risks? Do you want some clever dick to realise and approach you?
Love,
Anthony

And you like very small people at your feet wearing WW2 UK tin helmets. Ok, I give up, now.

I think that the stairs, bottom left, have something to do with it. As well as all the papers. Its also quite dark and you only have one lantern, so I guess that would say that you lack light ( lack of light=lonelyness )
I would say that the hair in your face, and being in a cave also shows that you trying to hide from the world.
But I think that is it for me:-???
"And so the lion fell in love with the Lamb"
"What a stupid Lamb"
"What a sick, masochistic lion"

You are sitting isolated on a ledge, unhappy - perhaps withdrawn. You choose to be on that ledge when there is a stairway within reaching distance. But what do the stairs represent? Climbing them do you reach self acceptance? Or do they take you where you don't want to go - hence your isolation on the ledge?
There is a lantern whose light no longer reaches where you are. It shines below you. Have you climbed so far that there is no longer a light to guide your way? Or are you hiding from the light because you fear that it will show others things about yourself you don't want to reveal?
The papers and books beside you may represent nothing or perhaps an attempt to gather and document knowledge about yourself. Could this forum be somewhere in that stack of papers?
My guesses are based, of course, on the scant knowledge about you that I've gleaned from your posts to date. Others, unaware of your inner turmoil, would probably not draw such conclusions. Hence, you are probably safe in using the drawing. (Which is excellent and very professional, by the way.)

P.S. If this is a finished drawing and not a work in progress, then the fact that you aren't entirely colored in could be significant. Could it be that you see yourself as a work in progress too?

Wow...it does kinda reflect a lot of things about myself...i just never really thought about it until now...it's like I unconsciously painted myself (which of course i did not intend to do). this piece is just one of those random doodles that I make all the time...he's actually just a secondary character in my story...
Thanks Paul and Tempo!...I really appreciate the way you interpreted this one...
;-D
And Paul, im not really that good. Believe me i know a lot of people who make me look like Im all thumbs...heheh..But thanks anyway.;-D
Oh yeah, and that hidden message thing? I painted the words "I'm gay" right across the painting...whew..im glad it isnt too obvious on this one (I just love putting hidden msgs on my paintings ;-D)...I just had to make sure before I let my friend borrow my portfolio...

Have you ever read the book "The Picture of Dorian Gray" by Oscar Wilde...
here is a little quote...
"Harry," said Basil Hallward, looing him straight in the face," every portrait that is painted with feeling is a portrait of the artist, not of the sitter. The sitter is merely the accident, the occasion. Is not he who is revealed by the painter; it is rather the painter who, on the coloured canvas, reveals himself. The reason i will not exhibit this picture is that i am afraid that i have shown in it the secret of my own soul"
its a great book

I've looked at it again and stared until my eyeballs hurt. And even after you've told us it's there, I can't even begin to see where you printed that message. So once again I'll say, I think you're safe.
And when you've finished the comic book, I'd like to buy a copy. Autographed of course! ;-D
