Tomorow I have to bring my Kittykat into the animal pound place....

I can't find anyone that wants her and I can't take her to my new flat....

It is very upsetting to me that I have to do this.... I've had her for like 6 years....

Thank God, I've never had to do that. But I have buried two adorable pets.

I got to school at about 9;00am today with the mission of getting a report done, read several stories that need read for my Gothic & Horror Literature class, and network to find a home for my Kittykat...

Just a few minutes ago, a nice little girl called her dad and they negotiated the chores involved with taking good care of my Kittykat.

She will get her tomorow morning.... I am going to buy a bag of kittylitter and bags of food..... just to get them started...

She was... is... the only real company i had at home....

I think i need to go find a corner and have a good cry now....

Ah, Marc. Hugs to you. You must have really mixed emotions right now. On the one hand you are losing a loving companion. But on the other hand you have provided her with a good home and saved her from the pound. You did well by her.

Dear Marc,

I feel for you. I was brought up with cats and my parents had cats at least until my father died. It was a bone of contention because my elder daughter is severely allergic to cat and within ten minutes of going into a house where there are cats has streaming eyes and a runny nose and before long she can't breathe. So we could never visit my parents unless the weather was good enough to camp in the garden.

My brother suffered from what was called "infantile asthma" and I now wonder if it wasn't an allergy to cats. He died at the age of 59 from a heart attack. I suspect it was a consequence of the cats in his youth.

But what can you do in a flat without pets? Does it have to be animals? Is there a zoo or animal sanctuary near? You need companionship. Being lonely is horrible.

What are you going to do?

Love,
Anthony

They wanted me to just sit it out but I coulodnt do that.... I carried as much as I could and sorted obvious things to the proper rooms.....

They are coming tomorow at 10 to finish and then clean the old flat......

I'm crying as i type this... I never knew... I mean... i never knew

Next week, after classes I am treating the whole bunch to a dinner at the local Mexican cantina....

Well, now your eyes are open, keep them open. Friends and acquaintances are precious.
