I have seen it before but not as in so large a scale and in such a public place.
Actually, considering the reactions of the bystanders it seems to have been quite effective.
Oh, and as for crazy... Well... Crazy is as crazy does.

What do you think was running through the minds of some of these bystanders? "Am I in an alternate dimension? Is it going to happen to me?" lol... I thought it was great. Take a look at some of the other things this improv company have done.

You know, I thought the reactions of the bystanders were nearly as interesting as the demonstration itself. Especially the guy who was overheard saying "...some kind of protest about something probably..." like that's the only reason people would do this.
I think it's cool. Like art for art's sake. And it was so fleeting too. People became "art" living sculptures for five minutes, and then like a spider's web in the morning, gone!
It's actually called Performance Art. And it seems to be a hit in this area. I found the clip interesting but not weird. Just a matter-of-fact performance.
Cycling is the one sport where a guy can shave his legs, wear spandex and bright colors, and be accepted.
The first time I spotted this was in a department store where paople assumed the pose of manequins and would remain still, in the aisle, for some time untim someone noticed. Once a person noticed, when they turned away the posers would change their position, moving arms, head, a twist of the body, always very subtle.....
It was hilarious to watch because people would stand there and try for the longest time to figure out what happened.
