On saturday morning there is a TV program, "The U.S. Farm Report"... and for some reason I have always (well ever since I moved to Ohio) found it fascinating.
Do you or your Dad watch it at all? Does any other of us here watch?
I was just wondering....

Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

No Marc we don't. I can't remember the last Saturday morning I stayed in the house and didn't go out to chore all day. We get most of our agricultural information from agweb.com and places like that. With the exception of the uplands cotton and some truck farming produce, nearly all of our crops are used for feed grains for the three dairy herds, the Angus herd, and the hog operations. Next year we'll have two poultry sheds too, and we'll be installing a feed mill and other equipment. We don't generally worry about the agricultural futures markets, since all our dairy production is bought under long-term contract, and we ship the beef to specialty butchers and Kosher butchers in Philadelphis and New York. They buy anything we sell. We also sell and handle feeds for other farms in the area.
I just think all the news about farming is good to keep up on...
I don't really know why...
Must be the city boy in me...
