Here's Chapter 3 of my story. I hope you all like it.

Chapter 3

I got on the bus and took a seat, sitting beside the window. It was alright. I placed my book bag beside me so no one would sit beside me. I didn’t like anyone sitting beside me, or talking to me. I thought all of that was boring and pointless. I simply sat on my seat with my head rested against the window. My thoughts wondered back to a time when I was 5 years old. I had a father, and a mother. Mother was a kind lady, Father was a drunk, and quite often used his fist to do the ‘talking’ around the house. Looking back on it now, I find I don’t really care. Everyone’s parents have issues with their children, right? Always wanting the ‘best’ for their kids. Father figured the best way for me to grow up, was through years of abuse. I cried at first, but then I got over it, and took it as a natural thing. Sure it’s a sad thing, but I don’t think about it anymore…

We arrived at the school grounds. Another day of pointless talking from teachers and ‘friends.’ So annoying.. As I got off the bus I noticed a boy there, sitting by himself. He had blonde hair, long and lengthy, but his eyes were black. He looked lonely from the looks of things, I figured. This boy had on a red shirt, with a fist on it. He had a silver necklace and chain on connected to his pants, which were light blue in color. It’s not my place to remember everyone’s clothes, but something about this person intrigued me, for one reason or another. The bell rang, and I made my way to class. I had Math first period.

I grabbed my books that I needed and headed there, yet somehow my thoughts went back to the boy I saw before at the bus stop. No reason in particular, it was just something that happened.

Normally, I’m the first one in class before anyone else, yet today was different. That boy was there again. I glanced at him for a second and then took my seat. He didn’t notice me, which was good, as I wasn’t looking for any friends. He was looking out the window, at the sky. I wondered why he was looking at it. Did he want freedom, or was he looking for something else? Who knew?..

The rest of my classmates took their seats as usual. My teacher stood up and announced that we had a new student.

‘Daren, could you introduce yourself please?’

‘Sure,’ the boy said.

‘My name is Daren Wallis. I’m new to town. I love movies and sunsets. It’s not so much the sunset itself, but the way the sky looks when it happens. It’s truly magnificent. Anyway, I don’t have that many friends, but I love making new ones. And that’s pretty much it.’

Short and sweet, nice, I thought to myself.

‘Thank you Daren.’

The boy sat down. His desk was right across from mine. I looked at him again, no particular reason. I just found him interesting. He noticed me and looked at me. I looked into his eyes. His blue eyes reminded me of the ocean. Perhaps because I was thinking of the ocean while I was looking at him. He seemed interesting. I stopped looking and turned my attention back to the books and solving Math problems.

The bell rang, and class was over.

There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition, and of unspeakable love. Washington Irving

I like this story so far, so I'll write more. I'm not sure what I'm going to put in the next chapter, but I'll think of something.^^
