Dear Jordan,
I would want to feel deeply hurt, but would have to be sure what they meant by it. Were they doing it out of malice? Were they curious about how you would react? Was there some other motive? Did they have the same intentions at the beginning as they did at the end?
If you have been hurt the question is how do you recover?
If they are both shown to be really nasty people it could actually be good that *now* you have their measure.
Love,
Anthony

It was that she{the friend} enjoys causing pain to others and reveling in it

Jordie, mark it up to experience, and try not to let it get under your skin too badly. It's going to sting for a while but I know you can pull beyond it. Don't worry about the girl. She'll get hers sooner or later. You can bet she pulls the same shit with people she knows personally, and someday somebody is going to turn the tables.
Just go beyond it. People like that aren't worth your mental and emotional investment. If you let it get to you, she's still controlling you remotely rather than directly.
