And those are set by our ISP. Please be more careful with pictures.

Dear Timmy,

It's nice not to have a formal rule setting down limits, because then if someone feels like an occasional flourish they can get away with it.

But it would be a disaster if the ISP threw you off.

Have they any 'standards'? I do think Donny has a point.

Love,
Anthony

The problem all websites have when renting server space is that they are subject to the whims and fancies of the host. The host reacts to complaints received from members of their public, and can close a site down instantly and arbitrarily, with no appeal.

I've taken the view that pictures of genitals, unless art or medical, will probably generate complaints from some idiot. That's based on having been webmaster of this site for over 11 years.

It doesn't really matter if the pictures are tasteful, funny, tasteless or awesome. A fully exposed penis is likely to make some idiot complain. A picture of someone pretending to shove garden vegetable up his arse is likely to do that, too.

Text is governed by different laws and different perceptions. Literary things and discussion tend not to attract those who will complain.

This site has been thrown off more servers than I care to count. We're not ecstatic about our current hosts, but they are a known technical quantity, and low cost, so we try very hard to make sure we can stay.

All hosts have standards. They are written such that anything they consider to be outside their terms and conditions is a cancel-without-appeal matter.

Oh I never said it wasn't funny. He didn't even look as it he was going to enjoy it. I just know how much effort it is to find a new host, reinstall, sort everything out.

Dear Donny,

It didn't even look to be a very straight carrot (oops) - I mean it might have been uncomfortable. And, I guess, photobucket didn't approve, either.

Love,
Anthony
