Hi. Just joined the forum after lurking for a week. I've been looking for a a place to talk about "stuff" for quite a while, and I think this place is it. I'm no stranger to the site, since this is where Grasshopper's stories are. I'd guess that's why many of us are here.

Me? 56, father of two, amateur naturalist and musician, who encased his closet in concrete and buried it way deep for 40 years. And boy does it feel good to be out.

But enough of that. Snarky comments forthcoming. And before you ask, brit hasn't been a Brit for about 10 generations.

And we ducked under the waves we did HA HA.....

Hullo

Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

We've have been up to our necks and are looking to submerge. Kind of dry here, though. Trying to learn how to rub sticks together. Wait, that makes fire...damn, so much to learn.

Thanks, Jordan. Part of the appeal of this forum is the presence of quite a few younger guys who give good advice, or the occasional shove, to the older guys, in addition to receiving it. There's an appealing mix of seriousness, respect, and frivolity here.

Yes. Brit,

Some of us are even older but it's amazing what a place like this gives one the courage to admit!

Love,
