Were you a big fan of comic books as a kid? Perhaps you weren't able to understand some of the underlying themes.

I remember the Superboy cover with the hairbrush, back when comics were 10 cents each. Alas, it and the rest of my hundreds of comics went to the lucky schlub who paid my mom $5 for them after I went off to college.

That Rifleman cover is a scream.

Well, Brit,

You should think yourself lucky! In 1962 or 63 *My* mother sold my car to the butcher's boy while I was away on a fortnight's course somewhere. It was a 1934 Austin Ten (same year as me) and I had given Bob Vajda £50 for it in 1959! I wonder what it would be worth today.

Mothers, particularly the tidy minded ones, have a lot to answer for!

Love,
Anthony

Yup, and I'm also lucky that she didn't sell my baseball cards.
