One of our own has been fired from his job based solely on sexual orientation.

Here's the deal.

We're going to call for a national boycott and an E-mail campaign.

Right now I only have the info provided on this company's web site - but I know there are people here who know their way around a search engine better than me.

I want the corporate E-mail address

- not just customer service.

I want to find out if they have a parent company, etc.

I want to find out exactly what their corporate policy is regarding GLBT people.

I want their company on a fucking platter.

I dont know anything about business, but I DO KNOW that during the Stop Dr. Laura campaign and I had to look up advertisers to get phone numbers and e-mail addresses - I didnt come up with the information that GLAAD and STOP DR LAURA came up with (for the same companies) so I need help before I get this info posted anywhere national.

Here's the info that I have:

The Kitchen Collection Website

E-mail: customer.service@kitchencollection.com

Toll free phone # 888-548-2651

ADDRESS:

The Kitchen Collection, Inc.

71 E Water St

Chillicothe, OH 45601-2577

This happened to someone that we all know and love. If he wants to disclose his identity, that will be up to him.

Help me nail these bastards.

The president of that company is called Randolph J. Gawelek. He can be contacted via the Customer service line ( I made it through to his secretary in 2 mins) All e-mail that are adressed to him are forwarded directly.

There has to be the Name attn. Randolph J Gawelek in the subject line.

If you wanna send letters you have to put the attn thingy under the company addy and his office will recieve the mail directly according to his secretary.

Those companies cannot afford bad press. Threaten with articles and threaten to involve the public, that helps with 99% of all firms that have to loose a reputation. Even in the US that costs them market share and that is deadly in the competion. They are most vulnerable there. Just do both send an e-mail to Mr Gawelek and bury him underneith them...good luck Lance Surprised)

I asked:

I wish to know your corporate policy on gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered people with regard to employment in your company

They replied:

Kitchen Collection is an equal opportunity employer. It is our policy that employees have the right to work in an environment free from discrimination, which includes freedom from harassment - whether that harassment is based on sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, marital status, or membership in other protective groups.

In answer to your question, sexual orientation has no bearing on hiring, or employment opportunities.

My thoughts:

Our friend needs this information to make his OWN decisions.
