This is the most rediculous thing I have ever heard. It seems that two, obviously very stupid people, who had an allergy to Tomatos ate some and they died. The FDA puts out an advisory and bingo everybody stops selling tomatos and fast food places stop putting tomatos on their bergers (altho you can still put tomato catsup on your fries.

When tomatos were discovered in the new world everybody thought they were poisonous. Now here we go again.

Do you happen to have a link to an article? I've heard of tomatoes being contaminated with salmonella or something like it.

>A salmonella outbreak across New Mexico and Texas, which is being blamed on bad tomatoes, may change buying habits of people in both states.

>There have been 48 reported cases, including 12 hospitalizations, of salmonellosis caused by Salmonella Saintpaul in New Mexico from May 11 to May 30. Another 17 other people have gotten sick in Texas.

>Federal investigators said that they believe the salmonella has come from bacteria-laden tomatoes, possibly produced in Mexico.

some people got sick eating rotten tomatos and the first response ofr the FDA was "LETS PANIC". Right now there are a lot of places selling local home grown tomatos, just dont buy any from Mexico, and for sure dont eat any rotten ones. A rotten tomato is easy to spot.
