Just like all straight people she finds it hard to understand people like us. She doesn't realize that non-association is how crazy religious freaks can enjoy attacking us so much. To the point where they may actually harm their own families some of the time. I doubt she's as bad as the zealots any opponent of the religious fanatics is fine with me!
