Now not everyone could be invited, and not everyone who was invited could make it. And I guess those who could nto be invited could get upset that they weren't, which is why I kept it all rather quiet.
We started after lunch. Ien and family stayed over friday night and suffered our floor for two nights, and then so many people arrived on Saturday that there were too many to list, but 20 of us celebrated my "yet again 15th" birthday for my 50 year old body.
We ended at about 2:30am.
We over-catered. The freezer will work hard and we'll freeze it and eat mearballs and turkey for weeks yet.
One of the guests expressed an opinion which you may agree with or differ from. I am going to put that in a separate thread, and I may be misrepresenting him, but he wil visit here to see for himself, and has every chance to correct any misrepresentation.
Thank you one and all for cards and all other kindnesses, but mostly thank you for the real gift: YOU ALL ARE THAT GIFT whether youi could come, did come, or didn't even know it was taking place.

And for that, I'm very glad - you deserved to have a great time. I do hope the plumbing got fixed. I would've volunteered to come jury-rig it with a garden hose and such, but the trip just wasn't very practical!!

My plan to spend August in London & France didn't work out since Martin (my English friend from school) decided to stay in the U.S. this summer. I ended up taking classes instead.

Angie delivered a huge teddy bear dressed in a thong with a party trumpet and two party poppers as testicles in the thong, trumpetus erectus.
Naturally I offered all the guests the chance to blow the bear. ALL did so, but some took some persuasion.
Then I was dared to put the thong on.
I did, without taking the trumpetus erectus out.
I offered all the guests the opportunity to blow the new bear! NOT all took that opportunity

I was just looking thru Tim's Birthday party pics and I have to say everyone looks really happy (drunk?) and Tim in a thong is a sight not to be missed! NICE TAN! Whoooo Hoooo!

You know Tim, I always pictured you all prim and proper wearing a suit - and very British and formal! Well, that image is shot to Hell now! HAHAHAAAAA! You're very cute and you look like you'd be a lot of fun to hang out with.
Anyway the pic of Tim reminded me of a similar pic I have of me on my 19th birthday. What is it about birthdays anyway?? HAHA!
A friend had baked my birthday cake and we were supposed to take it to my parent's house for the whole family celebration. She worked on it all morning - my favorite chocolate cake with chocolate icing and in white letters she wrote "Lance is 19!" Then she went to take a shower and left me alone with the cake. (Big Mistake)
I took the icing decorator and Xed out the "19" and wrote "The Shit" So my cake said "Lance is The Shit!" HAHA! She was soooooo mad! She wanted to kill me!
There is a lead singer in a band who had once a naked pic taken with a cake, so I decided it would be really funny for her to take pic of me naked, holding the cake in front of me, strategically placed of course (hey, it was a BIG sheet cake. HAHA). So she said sure. I tried to pump up my arms real quick and stick my chest out and look all buff - but it's the funniest picture. It really is! HAHA!
All the pics from my party (a cook-out) were stupid funny pics - My Mom hugging me (and I have a plate full of raw foot long wieners piled up on it) - she was laughing so hard at me!
Then a few weeks later, over Labor Day, we visited my grandparents who live out of state. All the extended family was there for dinner including my ultra-fundamentalist, homophobic cousin from Florida, an ex-Naval Officer, his wife & 2 kids (praise Jesus!)
Early that morning, when I woke up, before anyone else arrived, I sneaked in and grabbed one of my Grandma's fancy picture frames that had a formal pic of me in a tux, and put an enlargement of the naked pic of me with the cake in it instead, and sneaked it back to its place among all the other family pics in the living room! HAHA!
My cousin the homophobe, sat right beside it all day - he kept looking over at it but he didn't say a word! HAHA! The cake said "Lance is The Shit!" and I'm buck naked and he thinks its just another one of my Grandma's formal pictures of the people in our family! HAHAHAAA!
My two cousins who are lesbians, were laughing their asses off all day about him and that pic (they're all older than me). After everyone left, it was just my parents and me, we were sleeping over, and my Grandma spotted it and almost died! HAHAAAAA! She says, "Was that sitting there all day?" HAHA! she laughed until she cried. My Grandpa said, "Lance what are you trying to do to that cake, son? I don't understand that at all." HAHA! He was being so funny. My Dad got so pissed off at me! HAHA!
Anyway, looking at these happy pics remined me of that hilaious pic. And don' even ask. Its never going on line! HAHA!
