Just watched “To Sir with Love” tonight, probably been forty years since I saw this movie last. Wow, there is something about the remembrance of that age that we all once were and how we see things from this perspective now.
OK let me fill this out a little. I’ve had some free time lately and to stay in shape I don’t drive most of the time, I ride my bike everywhere I go with a bi weekly stop at the library and even do all my shopping and a couple of coffee shops and so on. Well, there has been this young guy I’ve been seeing around, about 15 or 16 and my goodness he is beautiful, a sk8ter good shape tall maybe 5’9’ or 10” long straight blond hair worn like a kid you might see in an anime move pulled back in a pony tail with long bangs on either side framing an oval face, blue gray eyes, full lips and flawless skin. The first time I saw him was at the library in the media room, as I was looking through the DVD’s he came up next to me I couldn’t help but look, I about swooned, he hung close to me for a bit then looked about a bit more with out getting any thing in the DVD section, after that I lost track of him, me going on to look through the DVD’s thinking what a pleasant interlude. As I finished with the DVD’s I looked around and caught this vision looking back at me. Needless to say I stopped briefly to look at the CD’s, he left shortly after so I went ahead and checked out, thanking the heavens for one last look, I thought. As I left he was down at the main check out with books in hand, he looked up yet again and looked me directly in the eyes, and I went on thinking what a lovely day it had been, think sadly, I’d never see him again. LOL such is life is it not? Well, it wasn’t the last, we’ve passed, he on his board and me on my bike, always thinking wow I have been so lucky. Last time I saw him was yesterday at the burger king of all places, he was there with a couple of his buds. It was so funny, I walked in and I didn’t even recognize immediately, he had lightened his hair, as I was in line making my way to order I looked around and noticed that his friends who had their backs to me were turned in there seats looking at me, they quickly turned back around, then they started acting like teens, it was so cute really, my cutie had grabbed a pair of glasses from one of his friends and was using it like a monocle looking at me. After I had my food in hand and sat, (got bold at this point) in direct line of site of this vision, I felt god I hope I’m not making an ass of myself, but thing is they had been long done with their food, and stayed until I was finish, he even stood and stretch, not once, but twice turning full circle so I had a full view of him, I have to add here I am really glad to see tight pants coming back into fashion! Anyway I had finished eating and just sat finishing my drink once more enjoying this gift. Finally they left, heavy sigh
Well, I may never see him again, I’ll be off again soon, and no telling when or if I’ll return to this place again.
So you ask what does this have top do with “To Sir with Love” LOL well, it just reminded me of how fleeting our youth is, and to all of you that are still in it, enjoy it to the max! My boy was giving me a real gift as I think about it, at first it was just furtive glances in a library eventually to to this seeming full on display, confident in his own beauty. How can I explain, I just felt he knew I was enjoying his beauty not perving, and truly I wasn’t, I don’t desire that kind of thing, Sigh though if I were 15 or 16 again! I do so wish I could be young again and know what I know now. I always come back to the old saying, “Youth is wasted on the young,” LOL I always thought how rude when I was young!
Sorry to have rambled on so, I’ve just been trying to fix his image in my mind, this I think will help. It really has been an amazing occurrence, a real gift!
People will tell you where they've gone
They'll tell you where to go
But till you get there yourself you never really know
Where some have found their paradise
Other's just come to harm

Yes... I understand completly...
The young guys entering college each year seem to get more and more pleasing to the eye.
Fortunatly, being a tutor in geology, astronomy, sociology, women's studies, humanities, as well as proof reading and advising as per research regarding papers, brings them flocking in droves to my desk in the learning center.
Some become friends here too. It was nice when it was time for me to move and several of them arrived with trucks and musciles in apleanty to help.
Never close your eyes Rich, you might find a friend along the way.
Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

LOL I have plenty of friends these days, but you know how it is, even though I have held up so well all these years and in fact am in better shape than anytime in the last decade (I quit smoking btw and love it). When I use those three little letters it's all over but the sighs.
I'll certainly not close my eyes, it is the only pleasure left to me! ::-)

Rich,
I'm happy to hear you've quit smoking. I know you feel better for it.
