Man Kills Self Before Shooting Wife and Daughter

This one I caught in the SGV Tribune the other day and called the Editorial Room and asked who wrote this. It took two or three readings before the editor realized that what he was reading was impossible!!! They put in a correction the next day.

Hilarious! Thank you, Nigel.

My favourite headline blooper of all time is this one: "Sibelius Dies Hearing Sargent Conducting His Fifth Symphony".

(For those who don't know, the reference is to Finnish composer Jean Sibelius and British orchestral conductor Sir Malcolm Sargent in 1957.)

And this intriguing headline: "Man Falls From Cliff: Three Dead".

And, a large poster in a Spanish resort in three languages:

Grands Bals! Grandes Bailes! Big Balls.

The paradox has often been noted that the United States, founded in secularism, is now the most religiose country in Christendom, while England, with an established church headed by its constitutional monarch, is among the least. (Richard Dawkins, 2006)

What a fun way to start my day. I sprayed coffee on my computer screen. Thanks Nigel. Hugs

I use windex.....

Gets the screen much cleaner

Life is great for me... Most of the time... But then I meet people online... Very few are real friends... Many say they are but know nothing of what it means... Some say they are, but are so shallow...

Dear Nigel,

there are two types of error - typos and thinkos.

Most proof readers only pick up the typos; thinko correction is part of editing!
