Is there anything like that? Being truthful to 2 people, let's say a woman and a man? Or to maintain 2 relationships with 2 people both of whom you love, without their knowing about each other?

Impossible for me. I wear my heart on my sleeve and everyone close to me knows my hopes and fears and who I lust after and maybe even who I slept with last night.
But maybe if both partners knew and approved ... ... . No I don't think they could.
A friend of mine was in a motor accident and took a week to die in the London Hospital. I visited often and helped his wife with funeral and so on.
I used to visit her after work and then go home to Sylvia and the children. If Elizabeth had been willing it would have happened but she wasn't. Her rule was to avoid entanglements with married men. Good thing I suppose.
Eventually she found another man who disliked me and so she put me off. I haven't seen her now for about ten years though she lives only about 20 mins away.
