~Mourning~

Silence fills the room. Almost deafening.
How did it come to this? Loss of job. Loss of home.
You're just another wandering soul in the streets.
Without a voice, still thinking about what could have been better.

None said to more so then your mother.
Be a kind, gentle spirit. One with laughter and love.
I still see you smile when you're alone.
I can see your sadness too, hugging your knees as the tears fall.

Silently you mourne, without a word.
You can't disturb the silence. These walls still hear your heart ache.
The pain some days, is too great, too much to bear.
Wishing's good, but wishing will make the pain go away, and it won't make the pain come back.

You're a simple soul, with lots under your belt.
First time, first ride, first kiss, first drink, first hangover, first love.
Was it all worth it, now that you think about it.
Still these walls mourn as you dry your tears on the sofa.

Save your tears for another day. Life can wait, if only for a while.
Love doesn't come with manuals. How can you explain all the rights and wrongs of love.
Impossible, so you grab another beer from the fridge and return to that same position.
A heart cold as ice, frozen, taken away from the light of eternity.

~End~

Love who you want to.
