Some are an exception. Mihangel writes sometimes. This is one of those times. "A Time" is a very unusual story. It kept me awake last night.

Yes, Timmy, it is one of the best. Unputdownable engrossing and without a false note. But I think that is true of all of Mihangel's stories and I prefer those with the happiest endings.

Love,
(particularly to Mihangel)
Anthony

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Spoiler warning * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * I read "A Time" and I thought I would like it. In fact I did like it, right up until the end. Then I didn't. I like happy endings. If I want sad and depressing, I can just watch the news.

Me too, Cameron, I like happy endings.

But in a way some of these stories are like life. You can't choose how they end and you remember William Blake:

The cut worm
forgives the plough
and dies in peace
and so do thou!

Love,
Anthony

Sorry, chaps, just wanted to remove any revelation of the ending to a casual passer by.

I'm sorry timmy and everyone about the spoiler. I wasn't thinking.

no worries, people have a free choice to look at the messages, and they can also turn to the end of any story to see what happens Smile It's just a case of keeping it out of the preview areas Smile

Hi, Well I too burntt some midnight oil reading this one from Michangel. It brought back thoughts of a film 'Empire of the Sun' in the early stages. I am afraid I was not keen on the last couple of paragraphs either. I suppose there is enough of that in reality so I like my fiction a little more comforting ... Oh alright I like happy endings!!
