Cheers me up a bit after the Heinz fiasco.

Oh god yes!

But that is in comparison to Heinz. The advert does lack punch, it's too long. And it is barely amusing.

Aren't we a but beyond advertisers trying to go viral just because there's a queer in it?

For me it works because it makes the point that we all - gay, straight, whatever - get nervous (terrified) about chatting people up: that it reinforces the things we have in common. It would be interesting to know whether straight guys identify with the gay character, or with his companions.

Incidentally, I came across this ad. 'cos I was served it on "friendsreunited". I can't really think on what grounds, as I'm probably outside the target demographic: there are no tick-boxes to say I'm gay (though my profile does say "out and proud, currently unpartnered").

So someone on friendsreunited has you in mind - and favourably, NW.

Well good on them.

I'm glad to see that my employer's hardware and network is being put to good use. Smile
