I was watching a christmassy movie on the tv. This face appeared:

The eyes reminded me at once of:

They have the same weird blueness, the same "see right through you" quality. The second is the kid I was outed over in school. The first is a child actor who may well grow up and be a nobody when he loses the cuteness.

But the eyes, and then the profile were as near the same as the image in my head of the black and white kid. The black and white kid is now 52. The actor is about 11, give or take.

I seem to be rambling. The kid's eyes did that.

Isn't it strange how something as simple as that can bang a memory straight back in your head.

I found one like that too, except it was in the pub right next door to were the original boy lived. Until I found out differently through casual conversation, I wondered if it might be his son, he looked so alike. Ow!

I saw "Black and White Boy" on "Stars in Their Eyes" a few years back. After almost 40 years his face was unfamiliar, though nice. But the eyes told me his name before it was announced. He's a professional Sting, The Police, and Rod Stewart tribute act.

Looking at "Full colour kid" it was like looking at a younger version of "B&W Boy". The memories were unbelievably strong.

Incidentally I emailed the B&W boy a while back to apologise for intruding into his life by being besotted with him. I didn't need, expect or get a reply.
