Ron doesn't post here very often nowadays. He used to. He still reads sometimes.
He just told me that his father died, about 4 hours ago now. Apart from holding a job down, Ron has been his father's carer for the past few years as well as his son.
As with all father/son relationships they had their moments! And they loved each other. Ron is now facing sorting out all those little things one has to sort out and is feeling numb. For the first time in his life he can;t as his dad's opinion, even if he would have ignored it!

My heart goes out to yo in your time of lose. I know you have heard that in time it gets better. In time god fills the vacancy with fond memories and the grief isnt so bad.

I can attest to that. The pain eventually dissolves to a sad ache and becomes bearable. But in the meantime, my heart goes out to you. I hope you have family and friends nearby to help you get through the worse parts.

Something I can relate to. I lost my Dad from a sudden and unexpected heart attack when I was about to go to University. Yes the very day I was leaving home. My mother died a year or so now of totally natural causes in he sleep. My Sister and I were there for her final hours.
The shock of loosing dad took a lot of time but it does hurt less as time passes. I can't really add any more to that which others have expressed.
