~Letter

Pull at my heartstrings
Do you like the sound I make
When you're at 'work' and I'm at home
You're always late, it's a wonder why I'm still with you
Tore my heart to pieces, you've already done that
Far too many times to count
So I sit here, in my chair, staring out the window
Staring at the ocean, we used to play and dance while it rained
Memories of under the knife, your pearls wrapped around my neck
"I look better blood-stained.."
Perhaps in another life, you're nothing..
Crossing over boundaries; I laughed as your lips grazed my neck
Caught and trapped, what's a boy to do, but pray..
So I'm lost now on Main Street, I smile at the oddities in life and love
I rains, and I can hear the train sirens calling..
If I ever do let go, thank you.
You turned me into something new; heart is more gentle, and I'm better now.
Thank you..
If you ever read this, don't blame yourself.
Smile, kay.
