This is rather personal, but what the hell. I have had a chronic condition all my life. If I am sexually excited over a period of time, like days, I occasionally get a horrible burning sensation in the head, and less so in the shaft of my penis. It usually passes in less than an hour but it is quite uncomfortable. In the past, I have found that a vigorous walk helps the episode pass more quickly. I've seen urologists about it, but no problem was detected.

Today my 18 year old son, told me about a problem he has that seems to be exactly the same thing. At his age, he is erect more times than not, so likely excited for extended periods of time. I wonder if we have some congenital aberration that is causing this. If anyone has experienced this, or can shed any light on it, please let me know.

While it sounds aggravating rather than serious, why don't you both go to the doc and talk to him, together if that helps.

I'm a great believer, having delayed too long with a penile ailment, in going to the doc right away. You get one dick. I know you've seen urologists, maybe that is the wrong doc. It sounds like nerve aggravation. Not sure what that specialism is, but try to find out.

I have a sort of reverse of this. After being erect for a while and indulging in penetrative sex (me penetrating) the glans loses sensitivity. The erection lasts (Cialis), but the whole orgasm thing goes right off the boil and, eventually, if it ever happens, it's usually pathetic and not worth the effort. I also cannot ever achieve orgasm during penetration; I have to masturbate.

This makes sex very frustrating.

Somehow this sensation loss does not happen solo, primarily because I am feeding my brain with images form porn of my choice.

Well, Macky, I'm just jealous. I'd like to be able to get *really* erect, the way I used to, but I'm afraid that even with chemical assistance I don't get hard enough for penetrative sex any more.

But then you're young, aren't you? And your son is even younger. But seriously, were you ever 'erect more times than not' meaning more often than not during the day? That sounds like 8 or more hours erect out of a sixteen hour day (with 8 hours sleep). To me that sounds a bit outside the normal(!) range. And makes me even more jealous.

Love,
Anthony

I'm sorry Anthony. NO need to be jealous. I get a little erect, but never enough for penetration. Eventually I will try chemicals. But when I am sexually excited, I precum like a fountain. I even precum with the slightest increase of stiffness in me schwanstucker (credit "Young Frankenstein" movie for the beautiful germanic rendition of penis meaning swansticker). I think that it is all of the precuming that is causing my problem. Do you precum when you are excited although your erection is very lacking? And believe me, you do not want to deal with the consequences of it...its the darnest sort of discomfort. it can't be localized other than its somewhere down there and its not sharp but a burning, sorta slow torture. It would be unbearable except that I know that it will pass in less than an hour. But that is a very uncomfortable time in between. I am glad that you have never experienced it.

Timmy,
Never having used chemicals, I can not achieve penetration. HOwever, as I said before, I use pictures in bed. I show them to my wife and discuss my fantasies regarding them before we go to bed. I am assured that she is comfortable with them. Then, in bed, she tries to make me come using whatever method. So far it hasn't worked and I've had to bring myself to climax. But it is a good climax because of my pictures. And she feels good because although not bringing climax, she has participated. I really think that pictures are all right so long as you just use them to get the climax you need and do not substitute them for the satisfaction you want to give to your wife. I have made it a rule for myself that I won't go solo except in bed in front of my wife, with her participation. Of course I'm new at this. But I have high hopes for this way of achieving a good orgasm, yet allowing my wife to participate in it.

As to my uncomfortable problem, I have mentioned it to straight acquaintinences before and they were all mystified, so I guess a rare genetic anomaly is causing it. Your "parents" tagline is especially true in the area of genetics. I plan to try n find an online physician who can give the symptoms proper book research and recommend appropriate testing to my local urologist. I fear that it is a rare and specialized condition requiring more than the time a doctor's visit can allocate to it.

Dear Macky, I don't have too much pre-cum - I'd like more. Being circumcised I need the lubrication! But if I did I'd try wearing a condom to catch it and keep it off my jockstrap.

Love,
Anthony

I think being overactive in the precum department may be an important factor in the thing. I don't mind the fluids, but I very much mind the uncomfortable episodes that occur, apparently, from too much of the stuff.

Might it not be the other way around? The cowpers fluid is generated because of the excitement, so is more likely to be a by-product, isn't it?

The question I have is "How can you be excited for hugely long periods?"
