I've read several accounts of this condition and it seems to be what I periodically experience. Apparently I am not ejaculating enough. The immediate cause of this is probably my Roman Catholic upbringing in which old sex-deprived nuns said it was bad to masturbate. So for life, I have been having periodic discomfort because of a brainwash with a silly doctrine, as a child.

http://en.allexperts.com/q/Urology-Male-issues-989/Unexpected-prostate-fluid-release.htm

“…a very common condition with the medical name congestive prostatitis. During sexual arousal the prostate gland manufactures fluid that accounts for about 2/3 of the volume of ejaculate. The seminal vesicles are paired structures located behind the prostate gland that also manufacture fluid. Sperm from the testicles (which account for only 1-2% of the semen) travel up a series of tubes (epididymis and vas deferens) on each side to join the seminal vesicles forming the paired ejaculatory ducts. These structures empty into the prostatic portion of the urethra. At the time of ejaculation, prostatic fluid is discharged into the urethra (urinary canal) where it mixes with discharge from the ejaculatory ducts forming the semen. The semen volume is in the 2-6 cc range. Arousal without ejaculation causes the prostate to swell with fluid producing tension on the prostate’s capsule. … generally immediately relieved by ejaculation and prevented by avoiding sexual arousal without ejaculation.”

One useful method to relieve this could be prostate massage. But note that some therapists counsel against it for reasons that they say are clear.

If employing it do NOT use a rigid implement in too strenuous a manner. Look for a soft and not over-large dildo, use a load of lube and see what you can achieve. Your wife may be willing to do this digitally, but offer surgical gloves. Women do not like faeces! And douche first!

Congestive Prostatitis is usually described as Blue Balls, and does not usually manifest itself as a burning glans. The balls and the prostate are pretty closely linked, but the glans is out of the loop.

It may be that you have more than one trigger factor. Your son is likely to jerk off at least daily and this seems unlikely to be a diagnosis for him.

I'm just making sure to keep a good ratio between episodes of excitement and ejaculations. Ejaculations get rid of excess fluid buildup in the prostate and diminish sexual excitement. Neither I nor my son has had an episode for a while.

My son is not shy about his body or its functions, and he does not hide his penal playing. That together with his somewhat frequent nocturnal emissions make me think that he has not mastered the fine art. I talked to him about jacking off and showed him how it is done, using his arm and my hand. He is not sure he ever did it. He is legally blind, has fine motor problems, Aspergers, and is underdeveloped for an 18 year old since he had no kidney function in part of his maturing years, (no growth hormone). With the kidney transplant, he went on to develop the secondary sexual characteristics, but other areas of his body are probably 3 years or so behind his chronological age. Hopefully he'll come along.

I'm guessing he uses text to speech when surfing the web. Introduce him to http://www.jackinworld.com which may help. If he is circumcised be sure to provide some pleasant lube because it is likely that he will become an overenthusiastic practitioner!
