Here is an op-ed piece from the NY Times that should brighten your day.

I loved the "rainbow coalition" in the advert. Don't all the people look sad and grey, too.

The opinion piece is excellent. On Youtube the responses to the advert are well worth watching

I can be a really devious and suspicious character when I need to be. That's why I will not subscribe to anything online unless I really want to, long term. So, when someone posts here a link - as Paul did to the NY Times - and I get a "subscribe" notice I can't/won't read what it was suggested that I read. (When I suggest something here I usually try to copy and paste here - unless I know that the online journal does not require subscription.)

OK. That's my grouse for the day.

Hugs,

J F R

The paradox has often been noted that the United States, founded in secularism, is now the most religiose country in Christendom, while England, with an established church headed by its constitutional monarch, is among the least. (Richard Dawkins, 2006)

Funny thing, JFR, when I had that post pointed out to me, I got right in. There was no sign-in page or anything. Then, after reading your post, I went back for a second look and got that same subscription notice.

My apologies to anyone attempting to read that article and didn't want to complete a registration just to read it. I've located the same article on a different site; one with easy access. Smile
