I loved it. I found it at blockbuster, but it is available on youtube in 6 parts. A 2004 German film called "Sommersturm" or in english "Summer Storm". Its a tale of unrequited love involving 2 childhood friends, Tobi and Achim. It is in German and has english subtitles, but you hardly need them because the acting shows the feelings. It has an upbeat ending. The story was similar to my youthful bout with unrequited love and really hit home a lot. I think it is well worth watching.

Yes, Macky, I bought it because Donny recommended it and I enjoyed it too and so far it is the only gay love film I've bought.

So if you have other recommendations I'd be glad to hear of them.

Love,
Anthony

I lot of the gay films i have watched were found at blockbuster. Just look around in the foreign section. There will be a couple there all the time. Some are funny, others sad, but they are easy to spot. they usually have two guys in the cover or they have a title that implies it is a gay movie.

I highly recommend you also buy a movie call "Shelter"... i saw at a local theater that plays a lot of independent movies.I cried with my partner and both thought it was a well directed movie. So you have to see it. I fell in love with it.

Here is the trailer.....

You don't love someone because they are beautiful, they are beautiful because you love them.

I'll tell you about them as I find them Anthony. This little film hit on so many of the suttle little things that make it difficult to be young and gay in western society. So many of the things that we all have experienced. Its like you feel gratitude that someone noticed the pain, but at the same time you feel it again too.

Thanks for the tips M. I'll seek "shelter" and keep looking in blockbusters foreign films. I love movies whith lots of feeling, and a good cry always leaves me feeling spiritually refreshed.
Its nice watching them with a partner too, so you can console each other.
