I am told this is Gaviscon from South Africa. Gaviscon is a proprietary indigestion remedy.

But this cannot be real! Unless, of course, you know different!

My wife found the original commercial video. It was just like the pictures except it did not state, "like a fireman just came in your mouth". So I'm afraid the South African culture is more similar to ours than we would like it to be. But I'm sure there is a gay cable channel, and Gaviscon really ought to consider the altered version of the commercial with its catchy tagline as appropriate for this market. Perhaps you can contact the Gaviscon peeps and get it rolling. Macky

Actually... I read this old post and saw that old advertisement, and had to smile.

Yes, I have to agree that South African culture is very similar to American and British culture - at least as far as the urban areas and medium-to-upper-class average people are concerned. Gay cable? No There isn't even cable in this country. Just Satelite or plain old tower-to-tower tv. Sad

I would love a gay channel, though Razz

. I thought the ad was very very very gay when i first saw it too, lol. Other people don't seem to catch it.

PS. Gaviscon really works for indigestion, they dont just have good ads
