I didn't mean to, but I disappeared for a while. Just got busy with school and forgot to check in. I did lurk on ocassion. School is going well I'm 80% done with the first quarter, but only 55% done with the work. I'm going on vacation week after next to Napa Valley, upon my return I hope to complete a story I started several years ago. Two chapters are written and I've got 1-2 left to write. If I really apply myself, I should finish before the start of the summer term. The story is about a young teen runaway called "Rat" doing whatever it takes to survive on the streets of Hollywood. He develops a mother-son relationship with a bag lady who brings him donuts for breakfast obtained from a dumpster every morning and finds a boyfriend who both assist him in his juvenile delinquency and rescues him from it. I hope everyone is well.

Think good thoughts,
e

Thinks you should just drop out of school and write the story. ::-)

Hi, e.

That story sounds as if it could be really good. I'd like to read it.
BTW what's a Deadhead? (in your profile you say you are one) - I'm an ignorant Britisher.

Love,
Anthony

Hi Anthony. A dead head is a fan of the rock group The Grateful Dead. Deadheads tend to be a peaceful bunch who follow the group around the country attending concerts and selling hippy-type stuff to eek out a living to support their habit. Unfortunately the leader of the Dead, Jerry Garcia, died in 1995 and the group disbanded. They have gotten back together in various forms since then, but I haven't attended a concert since 1994.

Think good thoughts,
e

PS - The line "think good thoughts" is from a bumper sticker I bought at a dead concert.

Hi Paul, Sometimes I think so too. But I want to be Dr. e one of these days so I have to put up with it for a while.

Oh! I understand, e. You are a sort of lapsed Deadhead because their lead singer's expiry has killed your habit. (LOL)

Love,
Anthony

Hi Anthony,
That pretty much sums it up. Though I continue to listen to my old CDs every now and again.

Hi Macky,
What kind of Dr.? Mad Scientist sounds good to me, but actually I'm studying to be a shrink. Since I'm currently a chef, once I get my degree I'll be uniquely qualified to shrink your head while expanding your waistline. Sad) Sad) ;-D
