He can do all those things without the cycling and be accepted by me.

And me, Nigel, in fact I could probably out-bright him if not out-tight him!

And I've got a rainbow coloured jockstrap!

Love,
Anthony

Other than the rainbow jockstrap.....hm. Okay. Here's my coming out. This photo was taken April 26, 09 in the middle of my metric century at Hershey, PA. I have since bought a matching red/white/black helmet. My "straight" group with whom I do heavy road rides (like 35 miles-56 km in 1 hour 45 minutes on a Saturday morning) all have gear that matches their bicycles. My gay bicycling group, which is more like a "cycle to get to the ice cream shop" ride (we did do 25 miles - 40 km last Sunday, in 3 hours) is always bemused by the fact that I show up in matching gear.

The hair comes off the legs this week for next week's metric century in New Jersey. So far I've logged 650 miles (1040 km) this season.

Happy pedaling.

Scott

PS, I am working through the grieving process for my friend, Don.

Hmm. "Metric century", Scott? Us oldies this side of the pond are still on imperial centuries of a hundred.

Well, in cycling vocabulary, a Century ride is 100 miles. A Metric Century ride is 100km, roughly 62 miles. Just cycling jargon. I can generally do 100km in about 4 hours riding time. "For my age", pretty good. lol.
