On Sunday, 21 June at 0545 hrs GMT / UTC the sun will appear to reach its most northern point somewhere over Jordan or Israel. We northerners will then send it on its return journey to our southern cousins. Depression sets in.

I dream of boys with big bulges in their trousers,
Never of girls with big bulges in their blouses.
…and look forward to meeting you in Cóito.

Yes, Nigel, and just in case an ember of joy still smolders among us after your uplifting observation, I suggest we consider the following. The Aztec Calendar says the world ends in about 3 years from now. A large asteroid passed between earth and the moon last month, and they can not yet tell if it will obliterate the human species on its next pass in 30 or so years. Swine flu was recently declared a pandemic by a major world health institution. As the glaciers on Greenland melt, the North Atlantic is desalinating, and this will eventually stop the Gulf Stream and throw England into the deep freeze. Frozen methane at the ocean bottom is beginning to melt and bubble to the surface, when this speeds up, it will detonate and burn all of the oxygen out of the atmosphere (remember the lake that blew up in Africa?).
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
For brothers to dwell together in unity!
Ps 133:1 NASB

Don't be a spoilsport Nigel, there is something to be said for long nights!
