I used to have bunches of these when I was in my teens. Then they stopped. But when I was 30, I had one. Isn't 30 awful old for that? I felt real young because of it. So can anybody here beat my aged wet-dreaming record?

I'm nearly 51 and I still have them occasionally. Even in my teens, I rarely slept all the way through until orgasm. Despite being attracted to some women, I can't ever remember having a hetero wet dream. I think that's one of the ways I knew I was gay.

Think good thoughts,

No wet dreams of late. But I have had several erotic dreams, so I sort of think it was unusual that I didn't have one.

I think I've only ever had two, both of them 53 years ago.

Love,
Anthony

You might want to have a look at http://iomfats.org/polls/ at the very top poll.

I have never once had a wet dream. Not ever.

Shocking! Just as many respondents were bewildered by the concept of wet dreams as there were respondents who have enjoyed them. I always enjoyed wet dreams, and more than once I wanted to go back to sleep to finish up with my phantom boy. Pity they ceased long ago. Pity you never experienced one...they can be pretty cool as I recall.

Occasional wet dreams at 51...that's cool. Enjoy! I have a theory about them. I think that 2 things contribute to a higher likeliness of wet dreams, 1) a higher level of testosterone. I think that that is why they are more common in the teen years, because that's when this hormone it at its max. 2) I think that sexual abstinence increases the likelihood. If you don't come while your awake for too long, the body takes care of the job by itself. Do you think these theories have any merit?

Cheated out of a wet dream? I'll bet your testosterone is ebbing away. Doc told me that mine was abysmally low, even for a busted down old man.

I created that poll back in 2005 because I thought they might be a myth!

I don't know if testosterone levels have anything to do with it, but the discharge of excess semen is the whole reason for having them.

Perhaps its because you are well adjusted, M. My early moral education was conducted by Catholic nuns. They explained that masturbation (which they euphemistically called "touching oneself") was in violation of the 6th commandment (no adultery). They said adultery meant using something in a way that it was not intended to be used. The poor twisted souls. Anyway, when, as an 8 year old fond of playing with himself, I would confess adultery to the priest, not wanting to go into the specifics of my playful practices, the priest would be left scratching his head. I tell you this to let you know how far the doctrine influenced my actions. I didn't want to go to hell for playing with myself, so I'd try not to. When I was successful for a period I might have a wet dream, because my body needed to expel old semen to maintain good health. Were these wet dreams OK with the nuns? Hell no, the nuns had some kind of euphemism for wet dreams too...like "twilight touching" or some cutesy thing. And of course, you'd go to hell if you were, say 3% conscious of coming at the time you had your wet dream. With all of these tales of damnation, I probably missed many masturbation opportunities. But in the end, eternal damnation was not a threat enough to keep me from doing it.Surprised Surprised
