This is a nice story, mostly. It says a lot about the progress made by gays over the years. But the question that kept rolling through my mind as I read the article "What of Katz's wife?" She is not mentioned in the story at all. It seems to me that a gay man (or straight man for that matter) owes something to his wife who bore him 3 kids. I can't see how one feels justified dumping the wife for a new mate despite the marriage vows. The fact that a guy is gay should not be an excuse to break a wedding deal. Yet, somehow, I feel that many gay men feel justified to do so.
