Having not gone to London Pride this year, I'm rather tempted to go on the Brighton one. If I find myself with the price of a train ticket spare, I might just pop down for the day.

I'm free on the first of August. I was wondering, too. But tell me, I'm not sure of the etiquette here, does one just join the march in some random place, or does one have to be accredited in some manner?

I don't know Brighton Pride, but in London - although we do encourage people to join from the start - you can pretty much join in wherever you are, and people join and leave the main march to such an extent that there's no real division between marchers and spectators.
All of which is - for me - pretty much as it should be. And it certainly works for people who can't walk the full distance: London Pride always has a sprinkling of people who like me use a stick, and a few small kids, and suchlike.
