Just a personal celebration. It's five years today since I had my operation for bowel cancer. I have apparently made a complete recovery. Apart from my overweight I feel on top of the world and all my tests confirm it. I want to express my gratitude to all those who got me through it - medical, family and friends, and the digitus impudicus to all those who wrote me off as a goner - and there were quite a few of them.

My message to any potential cancer sufferers, of any kind, is get it dealt with immediately and there is hope afterwards.

Hugs
Nigel

Was it really five years ago? Wow!

I'll celebrate with you.

Congratulations Nigel. Less frequent colonoscopies now?

My heartfelt commiserations! But It's wonderful news that you are "clean". Stay that way!

Score ten, Nigel, and while you are about it live as you would wish for another twenty.

What can I do (since I have missed the anniversary) to increase your cheerfulness about it?

Love,
Anthony

Anthony, the outward cheerfulness is fleeting; the inner joy and gratitude live on and are (I hope) acknowledged every day.
