I have a shy UK friend who lives somewhere where being gay, while it is normal, may not be socially acceptable. He would love an agony uncle to meet for tea or a beer, genuinely for friendship and a way of talking through his challenges in due course face to face, probably initially by email or an instant messenger program.
I very much doubt that a sexual encounter is what is on his mind.
He is married, more gay than str8, and around my age.
How would you advise him to proceed?
