So, please, take a moment to think. What will you do today to promote simple awareness of HIOV and AIDS?

Are you on Facebook? There's a cause to support, loads of other stuff, too. That tells your friends.

Do you tweet? Tweet it.

Do you blog? Blog about it. I have: http://timtrent.blogspot.com/2009/12/december-1st-world-aids-day-2009.html

Do you have an email address book? Tell your friends even the simple thing that today is World AIDS day.

Do you want to donate some spare cash? That's fine, too. Aim it well and donate it.

As usual, I'm wearing a Red Ribbon.

Two, actually: I've just got in to work, and it's freezing, so I still have my jacket on - ribbon on my jacket, and also on my jumper underneath.

As I've done in several previous years, I have a fistful of ribbons in my bag, ready to hand out to all and sundry that want them, or who ask me about it and are prepared to get engaged in conversation. Plus a few ribbons for the staff in the Community Centre opposite - I said that I'd drop some off for them.

It is, alas, too cold for me to get involved in outdoor activities like bucket-shaking (walking and standing are difficult when my back seizes up) ... I was sorry not to see any signs of activity at one of the main London rail stations this morning (Euston), but I guess I'm in no position to point fingers, really.

To those living with the virus - hugs.
To those who have no idea of their status - get tested!
To those who are currently free of the virus - please always play safely!
